Moving Day

Moving day had finally arrived. Of course it was hard to sleep the night before because of the anticipation. We were feeling pretty good about all the packing we had gotten done and hoped that the day would go smoothly. And with a little help from our great friends in Cambridge, it did.

"A friend who will help you move your crap, is a true friend indeed." - Socrates

A HUGE THANK YOU to Jeff, Amber, Tom, Erin, Phillip, Jane & Dave we had the truck loaded in no time. We really appreciate the help and wished you were here on the other end to help us unload as quickly!

The finished truck - with room to spare! (see our truck from our last move to compare)

The hardest part is saying goodbye to friends, but we are thankful to have you in our lives for years to come! We love you Alexanders & McGinnis'!
We had sent Lucia off to the Fenstermaker house for the day, so after Paul and I did the last of our cleaning we headed over there to hang out for a bit.

These girls together make my heart melt!
We were definitely feeling a little sad after all of the goodbyes over the past week, but as we crawled into our sleeping bags on the living room floor, our minds shifted into road trip mode. We were looking forward to a relatively short drive out to Shenandoah National Park where we were planning to spend the next couple of days.
